Asia Pacific University College of Technology and Innovation (UCTI) was established when Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) was officially awarded University College status by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

Operating alongside APIIT, UCTI leverages on APIIT's strong track record and reputation. UCTI continues to maintain an internationally recognized standard for high quality education and study programs, as well as research and development excellence.

UCTI started in response to the Malaysian Government's initiative to address the critical shortage of IT professionals in Malaysia and the region. UCTI has worked towards the vision and strategy of the Malaysian Government for 2020 by filling the national need for technology professionals at all levels. Supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, approved by the Ministry of Education, APIIT has built solid reputation for excellence in IT education.

Since then the Institute has grown from being a successful local player in Malaysia to an established major regional player, with activities and overseas centres.

With more than a decade of excellence in professional IT education & training, UCTI is a leading IT and business educational facility in the Southeast Asia region. Over the years, APIIT has established a growing legacy of innovative thinkers and an exceptional standard of academic achievement. It has collaborations with 20 reputable Universities in the UK and Australia.
